What Is Cresca? A Plain Explanation
Cresca is an email marketing platform with AI-assisted campaign production. You build campaigns and automation workflows, send them, and track what happened. The AI features automate the mechanical parts of producing a campaign: drafting, layout, subject lines, segment construction and send scheduling.
What you can do with it
- Send campaigns. Build an email, choose an audience, schedule it, and track clicks and conversions.
- Build automations. Trigger sequences on events such as a signup, a purchase or a tag being added, with conditions and delays.
- Segment your audience. Build filters by describing the audience you want in plain language, or by configuring conditions directly.
- Generate content with AI. Describe a campaign and get a draft, generate layout from a description, produce subject line variants for testing.
- Use templates. Save recurring email structures and reuse them with new content each time.
- Track results. See clicks, conversions and engagement per campaign and per workflow, and see deliverability events including bounces and complaints.
- Integrate. Connect your signup forms, ecommerce platform and CRM, or use the API directly.
What it costs
Four plans, priced on contact count with sends matched to the tier:
| Plan | Price | Contacts | Emails / month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 | 50 |
| Professional | $29/mo | 5,000 | 5,000 |
| Premium | $49/mo | 25,000 | 25,000 |
| Ultra | $99/mo | 55,000 | 55,000 |
Every paid plan includes the full feature set: AI generation, automation workflows, analytics, templates and integrations. The tiers differ by scale rather than by what you are allowed to use. API access is available on every plan, including Free.
What you need to run it
A domain you control, because you send from your own authenticated domain rather than a shared one. That means adding SPF and DKIM records to your DNS, which is a standard requirement for any email platform and typically takes a few minutes with access to your DNS provider.
Beyond that, a contact list and something to send. You do not need a developer unless you are using the API or building a custom integration.
What it is not
Cresca is not a CRM. It stores contact data for email purposes but does not track deals or manage a sales pipeline. If you need one system for sales and marketing, a platform that bundles both will save you a synchronisation problem.
Cresca is not a website or landing page builder. Forms and landing pages work as signup sources, but this is not a web builder.
Cresca is not a multi-channel suite. Email is the product. There is no SMS channel, no push notifications and no advertising integration.
Who it is for
Teams where email is a primary channel and campaign production is a bottleneck. Businesses that want the mechanical work automated without handing judgement to software. Teams currently running email across several disconnected tools that would rather have one product.
Developers who want API access without upgrading to an enterprise tier.
Who it is not for
Teams that need email bundled inside a CRM or a broader marketing suite. Businesses whose primary channel is not email. Organizations with enterprise compliance or infrastructure requirements that need to be verified against specific certifications before anything else.
Anyone looking for a system that sends without review; Cresca's AI generates drafts, and a person decides what goes out.
On AI, honestly
The AI features are useful and they are not magic. They remove the blank page, the mechanical layout work and the segment-rule translation. They do not know your customers, they cannot tell that your CRM stopped syncing, and they have no effect on whether your mail reaches the inbox.
Deliverability depends on authentication, list quality and sending reputation. That is where the highest-leverage work in email marketing actually happens, and no amount of generated content substitutes for it.
Getting started
Create an account on the Free plan, which supports 50 contacts and 50 emails per month. Publish the SPF and DKIM records for your sending domain and verify them. Import a small, recently engaged portion of your list rather than everything.
Build one welcome or post-purchase automation and test it. Then send your first campaign to a segment.
That sequence front-loads the work that prevents rework: authenticating before sending, and cleaning before importing.
Security and data handling
Cresca holds contact data, which means storing personal information on your behalf. The relevant points for evaluation are that you can export your full contact list and event history at any time, that credentials for sending are scoped to your domain through DNS records you control, and that API access uses tokens you can revoke.
Because you send from your own authenticated domain rather than a shared one, your sending reputation is yours and travels with the domain if you leave. That is a meaningful difference from platforms that send from shared infrastructure, where reputation is pooled and cannot be taken with you.
What support covers
Support covers the product: how a feature works, why a workflow behaved unexpectedly, how to configure authentication. It does not cover your deliverability reputation, which is determined by list quality and sending behaviour that only you can see, nor your email content.
The useful question to ask any platform is what happens when a specific message to a specific recipient does not arrive, and whether they can show you why. That is the diagnostic capability that matters most in practice.
Common misconceptions
- "AI will write my campaigns." It produces drafts. You still decide what is sent and to whom.
- "A bigger plan improves delivery." Pricing has no effect on inbox placement.
- "Open rates measure engagement." They measure image loading, which client-side proxying and prefetching have made unreliable.
- "Automation runs itself." It runs unattended, which is different. It needs testing before launch and review afterwards.
The short version
Cresca is an email marketing platform with AI-assisted campaign production, priced by contact count with the full feature set on every paid plan and API access on every tier. It does not include a CRM, a website builder, SMS or advertising integration. It is for teams where email is central and production speed is the constraint.
It is not a substitute for authentication work and list hygiene, which remain the things that most determine whether email performs, and your sending reputation stays with your own domain rather than being pooled with other senders.
